ACCR Legislative Questionnaire |

As the election season approaches, Alabama Citizens for Constitutional Reform (ACCR) wants to inform Alabamians about candidates views on constitutional reform. ACCR is a non-partisan, grassroots organization working to educate the people of Alabama and their leaders about the need for constitutional reform. ACCR recently submitted questionnaires to all legislative candidates in the upcoming June 4 primary elections. Candidates were asked to respond objectively to six short statements about constitutional reform. Candidates were also given the opportunity to expound on the issues by providing additional comments. Candidates were informed that their responses would be posted on our website and also made available to local news outlets in the candidates respective districts. ACCR has compiled all objective responses and arranged them in a spreadsheet for quick review. All written comments submitted (up to 100 words) have been compiled in a separate document and arranged alphabetically by name. Copies of the questionnaire, the spreadsheet and the written comments are posted below. If candidates in your area did not respond to our questionnaire, we would encourage you to contact them and ask them the same questions. Constitutional reform is a critical issue in this state and ACCR has redoubled its efforts to give the people of Alabama a real opportunity to reform their antiquated and unworkable constitution. The citizens will not rest until we have a new constitution for a better Alabama.
