Statewide ACCR Conference Planned for March 17

Building on the success of our October 2001 conference, “Why Alabama Can’t Wait”, ACCR has another one in the works. “Road to Reform: Moving Toward a Modern Constitution” will be held in Birmingham at the Scrushy Center on March 17. The time is tentatively scheduled for 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM with a luncheon and a keynote speaker.

This will provide a chance for the entire constitutional reform community to come together as we move down the road to reform. More information will be available through our website and email newsletter in the following weeks.

Reform One Returns

ACCR’s popular school bus, “Reform One”, will return to the roads of Alabama this spring to spread the message of constitutional reform far and wide. Last fall’s tour included stops in over 30 cities from every area of the state. The help of our members was crucial to the success of last year’s tour. If you are interested in helping bring “Reform One” to your community for the first time, or for a return visit, please contact our office in Montgomery at 334-834-5495.

ACCR Publishes February 2003 Newsletter

ACCR's quarterly print newsletter, "ACCR News", has been published and mailed to members of the ACCR family. The newsletter contains articles and columns on ACCR's sponsored citizens' commission, Gov. Riley's new commission, a chapter report, upcoming events, and more. The newsletter is also available for viewing at our website in Adobe Acrobat format by clicking on the link below.

ACCR Publishes February 2003 Newsletter

With our new email service, we now have the capability of distributing our newsletter online. If you would prefer to receive the newsletter via email instead of getting a hard copy in the mail, email Anne Kilgrow at accr2@bellsouth.net with your name, email, and mailing address.

ACCR always works hard to use the funding we receive from our members in the most effective ways. This small action would allow ACCR to apply the savings from the reduced costs of printing and postage to other pressing needs as we work together to achieve a modern constitution for Alabama.
